Living and hoping to continue to learn, grow, adapt, change, simplify, and prevail...until I go "home"....loving my family, friends, and life's little surprises along the way....
Hi Cathy, I just wanted to let you know I've been enjoying your blog since Paul's email referred to it.
I, also, think this is a "Great Quote", and true. Since Garry's illness and death, I've been learning lots of'new' stuff, like how to use tools and how to do jobs that look too big! My mother was a great role-model - she operated under the principle that where there's a will there's a way.
And, it would be difficult to count the many ways I've been blessed. I once chided Garry for stopping in miserable weather to pick up a penny. He just looked at me, smiled, and said: "not picking it up would be like telling the Lord I don't appreciate small blessings". Needness to say, I started picking up every penny I 'found' and thanked God for the reminder. It is amazing how many pennies I've 'found' in the last few months. And, always when I needed the reminder. I recall a day when everything seemed to be one step forward and two back. As I started to get in my car at a convenience store, I noticed a penny in front of the door. Bending to pick it up, I saw four more! I thanked the Lord for those steps forward, and was reminded of the scripture that tribulation worketh patience - something I sorely need!
